Focus and Scope

The Journal of Biomedical Sciences and Health (JBSH) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality scientific literature in biomedical sciences and health. JBSH serves as a platform for advancing knowledge among researchers, healthcare professionals, educators, students, and the broader community.

The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic review articles, and narrative review articles covering the following areas:

  • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) all sides
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Paragraph: Justified alignment, first line indent 1 cm

Manuscript Structure

Original Research Articles

  1. Title: Concise, descriptive (max 15 words)
  2. Abstract: Structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion) - max 250 words
  3. Keywords: 3-5 keywords
  4. Introduction: Background, rationale, objectives
  5. Methods: Study design, participants, data collection, analysis
  6. Results: Findings with tables/figures
  7. Discussion: Interpretation, comparison with literature, limitations
  8. Conclusion: Key findings and implications
  9. References: APA 7th Edition

Review Articles

For Systematic Reviews, follow PRISMA guidelines and include: search strategy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, quality assessment, and PRISMA flow diagram.

For Narrative Reviews, include: introduction, main body with thematic sections, critical analysis, and future directions.

  • Tables: Numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.), with descriptive title above

Important Notes

  • All research involving human subjects must have ethics approval
  • Animal studies must follow ARRIVE guidelines
  • Plagiarism check: similarity index must be <20%
  • All authors must approve the final manuscript
