Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements:
• The manuscript follows the complete JBSH Author Guidelines: https://ejournal.unkaha.ac.id/index.php/jbsh/AuthorGuidelines
• The work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal.
• The manuscript is anonymized for double-blind review; author identities are provided only in the separate title page and OJS metadata.
• Every listed author meets authorship criteria, has approved the submitted version, and all contributors are acknowledged appropriately.
• Research ethics approval and informed consent are stated where applicable; identifiable case information is anonymized and written consent for publication has been obtained.
• Funding, conflicts of interest, data availability, and use of generative AI are disclosed.
• Tables and figures are numbered, cited in the text, and accompanied by appropriate captions and permissions.
• References are accurate, complete, and formatted in Vancouver style; DOI links are included when available.
• The corresponding author confirms that all submission metadata, affiliations, and email addresses are accurate.
• The study design is named consistently in the title, abstract and methods. Applicable reporting checklists and supporting methods are provided; no methodological facts, data, approvals or references have been invented.
• All template instructions, comments and unresolved editorial prompts have been removed. The title, abstract, keywords, author list and references in OJS match the submitted manuscript.
• Any generative AI use is disclosed with the tool/version, purpose, extent and human verification of its output. Authors retain full responsibility for accuracy and originality.
• Any author who is a JBSH editor identifies that role in the cover letter so an independent handling editor can manage peer review and the decision.
Articles
This section accepts Original Research Articles, Systematic Reviews, Narrative Reviews and Case Reports within the JBSH aims and scope. Authors must identify the article type and follow the Author Guidelines, including study-specific reporting, research ethics, data transparency and AI disclosure. Submissions undergo editorial screening and double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers. An independent editor handles submissions authored by members of the editorial team. Reviewers provide their own substantive assessments and must not use AI to perform peer review. Publication requires a reasoned editorial decision, satisfactory revisions and final proof approval. There are no submission, processing or publication fees. Current journal policies apply prospectively; they do not recreate missing historical review records.
