Digital Preservation and Self-Archiving Policy

Digital Preservation

The Journal of Biomedical Sciences and Health (JBSH) maintains the published Version of Record in its Open Journal Systems (OJS) archive so that published scholarly content remains publicly accessible through the journal website.

JBSH is implementing an external distributed-preservation workflow using the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). The journal will describe PKP PN preservation as active only after successful plugin configuration and preservation/deposit status have been verified. This statement is intended to keep the journal's preservation information accurate and auditable.

If the journal website or publisher changes in the future, JBSH will make reasonable efforts to preserve access to the published scholarly record and associated metadata.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit and share the following versions of their JBSH work in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic webpages, and other lawful scholarly repositories:

  • the submitted manuscript/preprint;
  • the author accepted manuscript; and
  • the published Version of Record.

No embargo period is imposed by JBSH. When sharing the Version of Record, authors should include the article citation, DOI when available, a link to the journal Version of Record, and the applicable CC BY 4.0 license.

Third-party material that is not covered by the article's CC BY 4.0 license remains subject to its own rights and permissions.
